F1 2011

Full of incident, thats what we like ;)
Bet Vettel was gutted, last lap!!
Bit of a shame that DRS did for Schumey but if it hadn't then Mr Button wouldn't have won I think.
Am quite into F1 this year.

Well done JB excellent race, Vetell looked a bit gutted at the end:D

What a race. Well done Jenson - from the back of the pack to win it, awesome drive.

Well after the interminble delays it was well worth watching, what a scrap and a superb drive by Jenson. Schuey seemed to get going at long last as well. I think Martin Brundle and David Coultard did a superb job in filling all that time as well.

That has to be the best F1 race in a very very long time. .
Button . . 6 pit stops, a drive through, puncture .. ended up last. . and to come through and win it with less than 45 secs left .. wow!!
Excellent race ..
Shame schuey was overtaken for third in the last few laps. . would have been good to see him up to see his reaction! @)

You've probably no idea just how good a job! The real Martin Brundle is actually a quite a shy man of few words. Unlike motormouth Jordan:eek: His now legendary grid walks and his 'chatting with mates' commentary is perhaps a bigger achievment than being an F1 driver and World Sportscar Champion.;)

Brundle is improving year on year. His balance of technical knowledge, trivia and humour makes him very enjoyable to listen to.

As for Eddie Jordan................*sigh.

Agreed, It's the first race I've seen this year, what a brilliant race. Fantastic. You could see Vettel panicking about 2 laps before he lost it, Locking inside wheels up on lotsa corners where he didn't need to.

Button's best win yet? And definitely up there with the classics. Nice to say that in the modern hypertechnical era of racing.

We need contrast and a bit of colour in life. OK Eddie comes across as a bit of loose cannon but the "my G*d did he just say that" serves as a counterpoint to the insightful but sometimes rather sober assessments of DC and MB. :dk: Think of him as fulfilling the role of "Court Jester" and I don't necessarily say that in a totally derogatory fashion. :p

Yep! 'The court jester' was head of securities at Dublin branch of the Bank of Ireland before his motorsport career so despite outward appearances there is a very shude mover behind the facade!
I worked with/for him for 5 years and and it was he who gave Brundle his F3 season against Senna. We did that year on £35k:eek: Senna spent 3 times that.
There are many drivers in F1 who owe there chance in motorsport to EJ.
Who was it first put a bloke called Schuey in an F1 car:dk: Or indeed, Senna in an F3 car?
I can understand that he is probably an aquired taste (!) just don't let the Irish blarney fool you;)

...and as an aside, with that cavalcade of super-Mercs all afternoon, did it make you feel proud to be a Mercedes driver!!?...
