autosport.com - the Daily Grapevine: F1: Fernandes accepts Branson's challenge
It made me smile thinking that billionaires can have a sense of normal humour and are prepared to challenge for something if racing about for last place!
I remember eddie jordan using bitten and hissess on the cars to get round the cig ad ban a bit.
But my favourite was when Williams entered the '93 season with SEGA and stuff Sonic on the cars. If you saw a side shot they made it look like the car had been cut through and you could see them driving. Each win got a skull and cross bones on the rear wing with the track name under it.
And so McLaren went one better, Each of their 5 wins that year, had a squashed hedgehog on the car......now where has that inter team rivarly gone?
I like simple little things. I hope they do more.
Life is to short to be serious all day.
