Hi,

I've had the following codes come up on my Torque Pro app. I don't know much about these codes but from what I read they relate to diesel cars? I'm confused because mine is a petrol engine.
Any information would be gratefully received :thumb:

Status: Validated and stored in non volatile memory
Reductant tank heater control - circuit high

Clear the codes and restart the engine and see what appears.
A Google of the codes for your particular code reader might explain more if you have returning faults.

Yep, done that. Codes return.
My point is that the codes seem to relate to diesel engines. My car is petrol. *confused*

Your car is 2005 I see from the profile. I guess torque pro like all the OBD2 tool will be using the ISO 15031-6 definition of the fault codes. The first version was only released in 2005. So when your car was made there was no standard for the codes, so an OBD2 tool won't be very helpful to you. You'll have to spend and get something that uses manufacturer specific services like a Carly, iCarsoft, Autel etc.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the info.
Will it work better on my mates 2010 CLK?

I guess anything homologated after 2005 should be following the standard, so certainly 2010 will be ok.
Note the standard still defines some ranges as manufacturer controlled, eg P14xx up to P1Fxx, so even on a 2010 the Torque Pro won't help there.
I expect if there is a fault that has put the MIL on, it will be one of the standardised codes at least.
