hey my C63 has an AMG badge on the rear? I thought that was just c180’s and c350’s haha

Seriously what a beautiful beast the car is! 2013 white with gloss black timmings and all leather package interior.

Few things I’ve noticed that are so convenient, when reversing the wing mirrors tilt! The dimming head unit, the electric seat with the electric lumbar support & oh the power at pretty much any time!

Couple of questions:

Sometimes when I’ve manoeuvred into a space by going into drive and reverse I’ll stop and the next time i get in it and put it into drive its more of a clunk... I am on a hill so maybe theres a bit of resistance?

I have a black sensor looking thing on my handle, is that keyless entry? I kind of followed the manual by just trying to open the door but it doesn’t open?

The headlights in the DIS was set to “left traffic” obviously being in the uk the traffic is on the right so I’ve set it to “right” is that right... right?

The handbrake pedal is a bit naff... like having to lift your leg up to push it down can be a bit awkward like damn I’m a Benz driver now is there not someone that does it for me?

I’m going to enjoy the power and the looks etc for a little while before I think of any mods, i will however get some heko wind deflectors and maybe black wrap the roof and wing mirrors to match the rest but is there any tips/tricks or small mods to benefit from? Like with audi you can plug a vag-com in to alter things for the better?

Traffic in the UK drives on the left so your lights need to be set for left not right, amazed that you didnt notice the beam pattern was pointing the wrong way.

I thought traffic meant the oncoming traffic which is in the right? Am I having a dumb moment there? So i best set it to left then! Does that mean my headlights are auto levelling?

Touch that sensor to lock the all doors, the unlock feature works when you touch the inside of the handle.

I don’t need to do anything with the key fob? I have tried opening it without the fob but didn’t doing anything, could it be deactivated?

Enjoy the noise.
I don't often use the parking break. I know I probably should.
A hard press on the break pedal after you come to a stop will show HOLD at the bottom of the speeo and you can take your foot of the break and just press the throttle when you want to pull away.
When I park I just leave the gear selector in Park and walk away (the 6.2l V8 will stop it rolling away).
If I have to park on any sort of incline (and I remember) I use the foot operated break.

Hold the key fob next to black sensor and hold down the lock butto....all windows and sun roof will now close.
The clunk you here is probably the locking dog if you have been in park feeling pressure inside the gearbox.....do you use the foot "hand brake" or just put it in park?

I’ll keep that in mind when I leave the windows open as Its always a good feature.

The usual rigmarole is reverse up into me space put it into park and then stomp on the foot hand brake. Then when i get back in it I start the car and then put it into drive and sometimes its a clunk when it engages.

Love the sound but I think it’s pretty quiet inside which is a shame... need more pops and noise! Haha maybe a secondary cats delete could help in the future.

Speaking of sound^^

Noticed the car makes some weird sounds like humming, wurring, and the transmission sound kinda like a supercharger wine? Is it all normal?

The humming is usually when stopped at lights etc. Wurring maybe steering?

A remap will liven the noise up for you.
Regarding the wurring noise that doesn't sound normal.
Did you buy from a dealer or private? If it was a dealer I would be taking back for a quick check....if it's private then get it along to a independent or reputable garage who could have a quick check....there is a good place in South Shields if your not far from there.....the owner has a supercharged S63 so knows his way around AMGs

Yeah only thing concerning a remap is how well does the engine and clutch cope with the increase in power? I’m seeing 500bhp figures from tuning companies and isn’t the 507 forged to accommodate the extra power?

Main dealer so I’ll get a check done else were before I take it back for anything. The wirring isn’t like loud or anything to me it sounds like the powersteering?

You don't need to worry about a basic remap for the following reasons:

- Mercedes sold the M156 in a circa 525hp state of tune in the E Class with standard internals. It's only at 457hp in the C Class to avoid it being faster than an E Class due to it being lighter.

- The forged parts make the engine lighter for a faster response but the extra strength isn't needed at 500bhp, or for that matter at stage 1 supercharging...

- The clutch is fine with supercharged (700hp) levels of power.

- The extra 60hp mainly comes from allowing the throttle body to open all the way rather than restricting it to around two thirds. Therefore, most of the extra power comes between 5-7krpm where the standard engine feels flat rather than zinging to the redline. It's not from excessive timing advance etc that could cause pinking.

It's criminal that Mercedes caged the engine in the C63 and speaking from experience it's well worth getting a remap. There are various popular options but I chose to use Celtic Tuning as they are recommended by PCS Horndean (a well respected independent garage) and it cost me £400 rather than £500+ most other companies charge.

Thats great to know, I did expect the car to cope but this is the first time owning something £20+ thousand and didn’t want to shorten the wear period on parts!

I think the 2 local tuning companies to me that I’ve heard good feedback from are GAD who are specialists and I’ve used big fish tuning in the past who I was very pleased with and apparently John has dealings with MSL who are apparently a good company as well. I’ll probably stick with what I know and stick with BFT.

I think a secondary cat delete and possibly res delete paired with a tune should see me happy with performance and sound.

Got a few exterior mods in mind like the big fin diffuser, certain gloss black trimming & I’ve seen some nice vent type attachments that go on the side of the bumper. Nothing too drastic just a bit personalised.

You'll be fine with BFT.

I've seen those stick on vents, they're awful as they look like what they are, stuck on!

Ahh damn, i have seen some carbon ones which look naff but this fella on Instagram has them on the side of his bumper and look ok?

Mikes P31 C63 on Instagram: “It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light! #mercedes #c63 #c63amg #views #amg #benz #clsamg #fast #loud…”

Is there a go to supplier for aftermarket c63 exterior “mods” as with the audi TT i used maxton designs and xenonz who also supply c63 stuff but out of stock.

Up to you at the end of the day.

That hole is a recess and you're adding something which protrudes which never goes down well in my opinion.

That thing of yours does it... :D

Have a look at Lee's signature to see what's possible. 500 will not be an issue. :)

Don't worry about the remap mine runs on stock internals and puts out 700bhp+ with the supercharger bolted on.
Stick with BFT for the map....he has had a few tweets on my map to fine tune for water meth etc
