After a good few weeks without a car for the first time in 28 years' motoring, I am with vehicle.

Well I went up to Ayr today and bought it! I'm most incredibly grateful to WoodyTheWise, aka John, who very kindly went out out of his way and at his own expense to go and look at it for me. Also thanks to Bobby Howe, who also volunteered but wasn't quick enough!!
It shows how good this place really is. 
Anyway, it's in good order considering it's age. 87k genuine miles. Shiny grey with immaculate blue leather, that actually looks good. I suspected it had COMAND, which is does. What I didn't know and wasn't advertised is that it also has digital climate control and a factory-fitted 'phone kit! :bannana:
Anyway, there are a few minor niggles that will be sorted out in due course, so stand by for some more stupid questions from yours truly....!!!
