After 6 months and looking at few lemons, finally got an E320 CDi Estate Sport with V6 and 7G Auto. What a joy to drive, journey from side of Southampton to Doncaster was the best I had (Vito is not bad).

Good move - enjoy it....and report back on how you get on with it..

Congrats on the purchase. :thumb:

Post some pics soon.

I'm surprised it took you 6 months to find one - there are plenty out there. Unless you were fussy on the spec/price?

Enjoy it.

Nice....please show us some pictures....

very nice - what's the spec?

I suppose I am fussy like everyone else. It needed to be V6 7G auto leather and at 12.5K max. This one (56 reg) ticks all the boxes and more, just needs 2 tyres soon and alloys cleaning. Got full service yesterday at my friends garage and still came under 12K with price for tyres already added.

Bloody H thats a cracking deal. Milliage?

115K One owner, full service history
Jacked it up at garage to look under and there is no drop of oil or leak anywhere.
Nice shiny underneath and engine bay.

Picked it up after full service using original parts & filters (all changed), new front brake pads and total recharge and cleaning of Air Conditioning. Total cost £350 including VAT. Done about 700 miles since and just pleasure to drive.
Now just need to sell my 05, 7 seater long wheel Vito traveliner with 74K. Anyone intrested, mail me raj(at)kundracomputers.co.uk

£12k for a 56 plate with 115,000 miles on it!! - is that what they are worth? - that sounds loads - the mileage it huge - isn't it knackared?

Milliage isn't that high. Only been doing 30-40k year. Those engines can see well north of 200k miles with ease.

no - i'm not!

I wouldn't keep a car past 50k - just the way I am - I think all this about "bulletproof" diesels ended when manufacturers tried to get over 200BHP/Litre out of them in std trim (as BMW have recently with the 123d).

Sorry - it just seems a lot - the engine has done a lot of miles, it;s an old car and yet still fetches £12k?

Why? Modern MB CDi's have been known to do over 500k miles, so yes, bulletproof as long as you care for it.
Its very cheap and for a 4 year old car its not old either.

The car sounds great OP, post some pics. :)
