A few months ago i bought a c43, it was in need of some TLC, so after 2 months of being off the road, i finally got it back yesterday, It's had a new crankshaft pully, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, drive belt, pulley, full service including spark plugs, brake fluid etc, ATF change, a full respray with new front wings, door seals, front foglamps, rear badges and a host of other little bits and bats..

Some pictures...

Looking Magic. Time to go enjoy methinks!!
Well done in breathing life into an AMG TOO.

Looking good, top job however wheres the pix of the important bit under the bonnet?

Lovely looking car and a fantastic paint job too.

Shame it has two too many cylinders though, six is the magic number ;)

Looking great, clearly it's had the TLC it needed. My last Merc was a C43, fantastic car. You'll smile every time you drive it :thumb:

Cheers,

Gaz

Well done you've got a beaut there!

Just FYI - noticed that they placed the boot badges a bit lower than normal - looks fine though

Good man :thumb:

New wings and a full respray - sounds ominously familiar ;)

She is looking great. I'm jealous! I wish I had garage space to work on mine. well done for putting in the effort, it has paid dividends.

You have done a great job. As Bobby has said the boot badges just a little low.

Ready for lots of lovely mods now eg : Avantgarde Grill, W210 blinking mirrors,W210 colour coded door handles, shiny pedals maybe 18" Monoblocks etc etc, that's if you are a modding kind of person ?

Looks stunning :)

There really is nothing at all I would want to change about the shape of the 202 with the C43 kit, a truly great shape in my opinion.

Looks great, but then I would say that... The badges are slightly low but not enough to warrant doing them again IMO

Would be interested to know where the spray work was done and whether you had any rust on the rear wings? If so did the body shop use some kind of treatment to stop it coming back??

I'll need to bite the same bullet on my C43 in a year or so so weighing up the options.

Likewise, any recommendations for bodyshop gratefully received.

Did you buy "c class" or "c43" wings? I'm still not 100% on whether the c43 ones are rolled for the wider track or are identical.

I'm doing the C43 rust remedial soon...going to use Whitney's in Willesden - will let you know how it turns out. They've got a good rep and a few gazette/ ME write-ups. Used them before for a bonnet respray and it was a great job.

I know Peter (C43AMG) has a good bodyshop guy too...

I can recommend for your bodywork Vanleigh West Molesey 0208 783 1212 Father and Son and the son has a C43 estate, have used them for years.

Yes I might just go to them for a comparative quote!

I also remember that C43 estate, from memory it's a minter (with 18's I think)

C43 wings are exactly the same as c-class wings, just been through the hard work of finding that out for my car which is currently getting its makeover in the bodyshop. If it comes back looking as good as that one ill be a veryhappy man. nice job!

Lovely non modified c43
