Put my W124 Coupe into an independant in Erith to get the engine looked at. I was given the guys name through two separate people (one of whom was family) who said he was a good Merc Man. He has already diagnosed worn belt tensioners and he's gonnna look at my leaky engine front and the erratic idle, and maybe the intermittent Oil pressure guage.
This is the first time Ive had work done on a car by anyone other than my father in law, who, at 67, has finally lost all interest in looking after my old bangers!. I a little nervous Im going to get a call in a few days asking for large sums of cash.
So fingers crossed, this is the point where I find out if I have bought a peach or a lemon!

P.S He had a lovely 80's SL500 (R107?) with a genuine 43k miles on the clock, it was unrestored and absolutely immaculate, what a lovely looking car.
