Hello,

Just when I thought my CL500 ABC suspension problems have gone, I found a new problem. The ABC light kept coming on intermittently everytime I went over a ramp and could also hear a slight knocking/thud from what sounded like from underneath the car. I took it to the garage for diagnosis, they have said that it may be the ABC Pump which was apparently running dry before the pipe burst.

From what I've heard these pumps are very expensive! I'm wondering if I could find a second hand one or something.

I'm not liking the ABC system anymore!

People forget that the car was 80K new...

runing costs are never going to be Ford focus money..

Also finding a second hand one, whats the guarantee? it could last you a few months and go again?

Thanks. Yes, second hand one isn't going to guarantee me that its going to last. Totally agree with A210AMG - its not cheap to run, though I've had it over 3 years now I've not had any major problems with it. Its only recently that I've had to sort out the ABC issues, otherwise, its not been so bad with general wear and tear.
