E55k Amg gone! C63 Amg landed :-)
Gave my new car its first clean under my ownership. Want to really make it shine!! Any tips would be great?

Cheers

Thank you :D was a bit dull when I got it it's taken me 2 days to get it this far
Want to really make it shine :thumb:

Take it in to be detailed. Nice machine polish will do it wonders if it's swirly. Has it got the renntec lowering module? Looks low in one of the photos.

Great looking car, love w211 e55's but I reckon the rear spoiler would look great colour coded.

It's not swirly just want a really deep shine :D

Yes it's lowered down in one of the pictures don't drive it like that though not sure if it would be doing it any good??

The spoiler is carbon fibre and was going to do the badges black as well... Do you think colour coded would be better?

Well it's personal choice, I'd personally prefer colour coded as its a slightly older car and suits it being classier. I've seen a few w211's with blacked out badges and I'm not personally a fan. Cheapens it.

I think a few of the guys run the renntec lowering module on low without any issues

Looks good lowered like that. Very tempted by the lowering unit

I would clay the whole car, followed by AG HD wax then the Extra Gloss to seal it.

Just my opinion.

Hi,

Lovely looking car there.

Looks like you've already used some T-Cut and what looks suspiciously like Autoglym SRP in the first picture? Agree with previous comments......it's look really clean and shiny already.

I'm sure you will get various opinions on what to use but if you've already added layers of polish I would recommend using a sealant like Finish Kare 1000p to seal in the shine. Others will have different opinions on other good products but this works for me.......leaves a really slick finish and lasts for ages.

I clayed and cleansed the paint on my silver E Class then added 2 coats of Autoglym SRP followed by 2 coats of the Finish Kare. I also top this up after washes with Finish Kare #425 as a quick detailer which leaves a nice finish. Really pleased with it.

There are glazes and waxes out there that might give you more of a wet look finish. I've not used them personally so can't comment.

Enjoy the car.

Looks amazing already but if you look on the Dodo Juice website they do make waxes for lighter coloured cars, I dont know if its all psychological or not but i have used light fantastic and i am convinced it gives a better finish that others i have used:dk:

Tony.

I polished it with srp then sealed it with dodo juice wax sealant... Will have a look about at some of the ones mentioned thanks guys :thumb:

Maybe the pictures aren't doing it justice :dk:

Lovely car.
Not loving the carbon spoiler either I'm afraid though.

Maybe when the rest of the carbon is on it may look better? Was thinking about black badges as well?

^ Whatever you do won't be to everyone's taste, but just do what you like.

Carbon is very marmite..........some like it some don't,same with the badging.

Very true mate :thumb: Am just trying to make it a little different and do love a bit of carbon fibre :D

Looking at the same rear diffuser as yours next...... Or you could sell me yours
