Apologies if not posted in correct section!

So as title suggests, back from my first European rod trip in the 55!

Had a stay over in Dunkirk before heading to Germany for 2 days. Stayed in a lovely village called Adenau, the home town of the late Sabine Schmitz.

The car performed amazingly on the ring… apart from overheating the big Brabus 12 pots!

Managed to get in 3 laps, with a break in between each one to let the car rest.

After that, we drove to Amsterdam and parked the cars up securely for 3 days and did tourist stuff!
Enjoyed the Nurburgring so much, its booked again for September! I do have more pics and videos to upload however for now, if you skip to 3:52 on the link, you’ll see me on YouTube corner….

Nurburgring is amazing. I've taken both CLS and will be going again this year now the G is gone.

Did you walk around Nurburg itself? The trackside walks are amazing

Ventisetta(sp?) Is a great restaurant in adenau

Looks like you had great fun. I’m off on Thursday for a week and a half around the alps and will be stopping off for a spin of two round the Nurburgring in my E55.

Karl, what are you going for now that the G has moved on to pastures new?

I didn’t this time round, when I go back in September I’ll be there for 4 days so I’ll definitely do the walk and a bit of spectating too!

What a great day! Personally i love Germany, and the MB museum in Stuttgart is really worth a visit...... not sure that my trusty SL500 would survive the track!

Fantastic - and your 55 looked more than up to the task. Which is more than can be said for the Dutch registered example later in the video!

Nice!.

Quick Q, those red intake scoops you got there. Any chance you know where one can get these now? or is it something of the past now.
