Hello,

Did this a while back now but finally back on broadband....anyway decided on just a two sensor version (as I didn't want to drill the bumper) and thought well..if I mess up these bits are a lot cheaper than a new bumper.

Works very well and even with the two sensor it picks up obsticals behind from a very wide angle.

Did not like drilling the car but it actually was very easy, did a pilot hole first and then just went for it...

Looks neat, at least I think they do.:)

Getting the unit here was easier than I thought, there is a little bit of wire I need to hide better but not bad?

The unit beeps and shows on the display what side the obstical is, as your get nearer the leds show more.

The display shows the wood below is in the way and shows how near it thinks is safe. All in all I was quite proud of my job, why the original owner did not spec it on the bus I don't know but for £30 or so and an evenings work its not bad:)

Well done, looks a grand job

Fantastic job sir! Nice idea putting it there too. Right, get yourself down to London and on my drive!!! I MUST copy you! Don't forget it was YOU that got me into buying a 350! Where did you get it from?

Looks really good.

2 sensors looks a lot better than a row of them

It looks a lot neater, it looks like a newer system

.

Hello,

Thanks, I'm quite impressed. Have to say the drilling part was the worst bit. Although saying that the boot of my car on the left as you look in was in pieces at one point as was the bumper as I moved it forward on the runners to feed the cables underneath.

The kits was from our favourite local shop Flea Bay, all the way from HK and came pre painted in Silver (which have to say match my car VERY well).

Gucci, you can get them in black and on yours you would hardly see them.

They are very handy and although I consider myself ok at parking etc, if I reverse next to a MX5 or something with a low front these really help judging the gap. Even more so when you are use to them on previous cars and suddenly don't have them.

I would like to fit front ones but cannot get my head round how they would work...

Just the same but you could either have them on whenever the ignition is on or have them triggered by the gear selector being in D. A relay connected to the correct selector contacts should achieve that.
