I want either fit one myself - £70 Parrot +£14 Connector or get it installed which I have been quoted around £225

I have searched around but haven't found anything specific as to where to fit the control box or how to remove the console / radio assembly. Is it basically the same as the older W203 models which there are a couple of diagrams floating around?

If I were to go for the steering wheel button interface as well, anyone know where the can connections are located, are they behind the console as well ?

Thanks
Adam

If your W203 is a facelift with MOSt fibre optic hifi etc.....get it installed;)

It's a 2007 spec w203 sport edition (estate) so I guess it's not a w . Has an audio 20, no command, wouldn't have a clue if it's got 'MOSt fibre optic hifi etc'

How would I know ?

Is there a workshop manual cd/dvd available for download/purchase for this model ?

Cheers
Adam

The parrot comes with an iso plug that you simply pop out of one and into the other. The steering wheel attachment for your model is another plug and play. AFIK only the evolution parrot will do this, and then although the steering wheel works, the car does not kow this and does not display on console.
On a 2007 car Im sure it wouldnt affect warranty - but Id check and to be honest and not rude, if I could afford a new 2007 model, Id afford for someone to fit it properly as mounting the mic can be tricky if you go for the cable in roof/rear mirror method.

Looking at the parrot diagrams , it looks like a bit of a bodge to fit the steering control interface unit. It will however fit the 3000 evo or the 3100 lcd to the Multican - still confused about Multican / Most
Maybe I'll just go for the standard fitment. Installing the mic doesn't look that bad, still not sure where the control unit would fit though.

As for getting an installer to fit it 'cos I can afford it', I probably could if this thing were to do more than 33mpg ??!!

My control unit is to the side of the comand, there is space - not too sure about facelift but cant imagine its that different. In fact theres so much space I have an ipod dock in there too.

Thought Hafrauds were doing an all in fitted price for £100 at the mo?

Not sure I'de let halfords loose on it ??
