Hi all, have any of you fitted reversing cameras to your cars and if so what is the best camera type for the job? I'm keen to not drill any holes in the bodywork if possible... as the tin worm would appear to like my car and I don't want to encourage it if possible;)

I did lash up a BMW camera on to my Range Rover.... so cross car compatibility does exist.... so what can be made to fit the ML?

As I've got an Alpine head unit there's no complications with the wiring.... which is more that can be said for the Range Rover:rolleyes:

Oh and before I forget, I need to see the rear bumper in the picture... as I tow, a lot, and I don't want to have any mishaps or constantly running around the back of the car to see..... been there, seen it, done it, got the ding in the bumper , and it's tiring

What did you do in the end?

I ended up using one of those number plate holders that have the camera built in, and drilled a hole

I did try one that was built in to a rear light unit.. but the picture quality wasn't very good and I had to hack it about to get it to look at the towbar.. in the end I gave up and went for the camera directly over the towbar option.... but that also needed a bit of adjustment to get it to look at the ball... in standard form it would see from about a foot away from the bumper.
