I just thought to say, when I first start up and if you were to rev it, it is flat for about a minute in that and then disappears, I read somewhere about the unit under the bonnet with a fuse, checked it and the fuse is ok. When I got the car I did ask for service and he said it just needs an oil and filter change, sometimes I wonder only I did ask... I see he is just being nice trying to save me some ££. The car was serviced last September and had some £200 spent on it though I do not actually know if anything was changed. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate any advice please.

Did I not describe this properly? a hint would be nice :)

Pip get a spray tin of injector cleaner .Remove air box [filter] and just look inside the fuel distributor .Put your finger on the flap just enough to open it ,now can you see any muck in the form of a line around the throat that the flap rest on when its closed. Spray the opening with your carb or injection cleaner .This will remove the rubbish in the throttle plate so it will seat better . Red X in the tank will help clean the injection system .

pip next remove this -see picture clean this out with white spirits .To remove it you need to pull the 12v plug off the rear along with hoses, but be sure to replace the hoses after .You might find them hard to remove and fit . The acv valve is s-l225.jpg held in with 2 bolts then remove the saddle bracket .

I think I shall leave this to the garage to do or when I can find someone capable, Thank you Optimus.
