Floor mats AMG style

The brand new set that I am selling is made in Germany in 2011 and exactly the same quality as that came with my car which were made in 2009. I have not seen the more recent ones.

I was told by an MB dealer that AMG ones were made in Germany and MB ones are mostly made in Czech Republic or Italy.

Begs the question: are the AMG branded mats fitted to AMG 'line' cars (as my old S204 was), different in quality to the mats found in 'full-fat' AMGs ?

That’s a good question. I don’t know what AMG line mats look like and where they’re made.

Not sure, I would imagine that they’re the same, but it the AMG line mats are worse quality then they must be really bad.

AMG mats from the noughties were much better quality than those in recent years, thicker, more flexible and much thicker pile too.

Hi , I am looking at car mats and found a company called Carmats on eBay.

My car has a natural tan interior and want mats in similar colour.

I only ask because these are the ones that were in my 2012 AMG Sport 204 and I was never that much impressed with the quality; and they were made in Germany!

I bought some 'platinum' carpets from this seller on eBay, £85 the set: To Fit Mercedes S Class Car Mats (W221) LWB 2006 - 2013 & Platinum Carpet | eBay
They were for a LWB W221 S-Class. They're fantastic deep pile mats - lovely luxury feel. I have no hesitation in recommending them. No idea if they do a set for the w212, but definitely worth looking into.

I went for a beige set because the deep pile and the light colour just ooze quality in my opinion - don't get in my car with dirty shoes! In fact, take your shoes off and bury your feet in the pile!
But they do other colours

They look nice carpets but I've never understood why carpets can cost £X for four pieces, like in the S class but the same price for the SL where you only get two pieces.
