i have a 2001 c220 cdi W203 and i have a brake fluid leak into the foot well. i put this up before and;
" got the master cylinder is leaking into nthe servo and then inside the cabin"
replaced the master cylinder and no change still leaking, have to top up every week or so.
then told its the " clutch master cylinder at the clutch pedal"
Had a look under and that component is bone dry, so not the clutch. When i put my hand up over the brake pedal its wet. there seems ( to the feel anyway) a small cylinder with pipes going to it on the brake pedal, that is wet also. can this be a problem or possible leak? Is it available as a part or is it complete with the pedal?

How difficult is this to fix? im pretty handy but never seen this before.
can anyone shed a bit of light on this and how to fix and what parts i need
Thanks im getting desperate and cant afford to leave with mercedes.
Ron

as sure as one can be with a specialist breaker i suppose is there anything else that can leak around the pedal area?

Did you actually look at the clutch master cyliner? It is mounted above the clutch pedal in the area you describe as being damp...

I suggest you get in there with a bright torch and keep looking till you find the leak. With fluid leaks trace them upwards to the highest point that is wet - obviously.

yes i thought that was the obvious choice but it is dry, the brake pedal push rod thing when i run my hand up is wet with brake fluid.
i take it the brake master cylinder is the only way fluid can get to this side of the firewall. is there any pipes etc to the pedal or just a push rod to engage with the servo. May well have been another faulty master cylinder.
Can these be repaired with a seal kit? or any sugestions where i might get a new one without the merc prices

Any help?
please!
