If I thought they would fit an Estate ... which I'm pretty sure they will not, then I would be interested.

Does anybody know ?

no reason why it wouldn't fit an estate. the saloon and estate have the same wheel base so the length at least is the same. Neither does it make sense for MB to make mounting points different for the estate, as that adds unnecessary manufacturing complexity.

R2D2's MB mechanic mate, Steve, says it probably will ...

I pm'd when the thread was started but havent heard yet! Which black are they I wonder. Obdidean?

I've not got any more pics unfortunately, until I visit my mother, as they're at her house for the moment in South Wales, whilst i'm based in Plymouth.
I have no idea what black they are, as I sold the car about five months ago and kept the sideskirts.

I'm sorry but don't you think that relisting them at that rice is a little optimistic considering the amount bid in your first auction?

Yep, brand new they do cost neartly £400 - presumably colour coded to your car and free from damage so if they were in perfect condition I'm sure they would be worth something like the money you are asking. As they stand, well how much was the bid in that first auction again?

Andy

I don't think its optimistic, bearing in mind the price I paid them in the same condition that they are in now. Just because they didn't reach that price before, doesn't mean that they aren't worth that price. I put that "they're around £400 new", so people may have assumed that I had a higher reserve than £150. Its minor damage and as stated, once they're on the car you can't see the damage. I wasn't that fussed, so I fitted them as they were. IIRC, the first time I sold my alloys on there, they got to £58 or something similar. When they were relisted, they got to £600. It depends on who is looking at the time.

Are you honestly trying to say that they are worth no more than £5? If not, what do you think that they are worth?

The £400 new (or whatever they are) is the price on standard skirts, with no colour, so unfortunately, you presume wrong. Colour coded and fitted, you'd be looking at around £100 (at least!) on top of that, so I don't think £150 is optimistic at all. If you went to Mercedes to have them fitted, i'm guessing that it would cost far more than the £100 to get them sprayed as well.

Its considerably less than I paid for them, although in fairness I did pay more than I probably should have.

If you aren't interested in buying them, please keep your comments to yourself. If you have a problem or query about the price, feel free to PM me, but I don't go to the adverts and say "they're too expensive, they aren't worth that etc", as its not fair on the person selling them.

Regards

Dan

I wasn't really accepting offers, but a guy came down from Manchester to see them, and my mum felt sorry for him so she let him have them for £130, without asking me first.

Mothers, who'd have them eh? :)

I'm just glad they're gone now, £130 towards work on my other car.
