Well its happened. As predicted Ford are flogging off Jaguar and Land Rover.

First does anyone know any link showing any definite plans for BMW to buy Volvo?

Interesting to note that Ford's premium Brands all put together (Aston, Land Rover, Volvo and Jaguar) have been losing money.

Aston Martin of course, has been sold now, but interesting to note that Volvo are not in the newly announced sales plans.

Not much fun producing cars these days.

Car boot sale?

The vultures= private equity firms --are circling. If I worked for Jaguar or Land Rover I would be getting the worry beads out. Is it co-incidence that these companies portfolio of models are, in the main, gas guzzlers?? Look at land rovers recent model line- great vehicles BUT big engines-heavy chassis. Sad to see iconic "British" car manufacturers in the industrial equivalent of a "Car boot sale"
