Found Good Source of Parts for Northerners

Hi,

I don't post on here often but I found a great source of aftermarket parts this week which I thought I'd share since they seem to have very competitive prices. They're a chain called Fleet Factors and have branches dotted throughout the North looking at their website. Gateshead is my local one.

In the past I've normally ordered stuff online and even been happy to get parts from overseas, but I've been pleasantly surprised with Fleet's prices on Bosch parts for a bricks & mortar business. Maybe it's a supply restriction thing and the cheapest place to get Bosch bits isn't online. This is the first car where I've got into DIY maintenance, so perhaps I'm just ignorant!

Anyway, I priced up a new Crankshaft Position Sensor for my CLK 320 and picked it up today (braving the torrential rain and flooding):
Crankshaft Position Sensor
MB Part No.: A 003 153 95 28 (or A 003 153 96 28)
Bosch Part No.: 0 261 210 141 (or 0 261 210 142)
£51.00 inc VAT

This is a quid cheaper than getting it from a US eBay seller including paying import duty, which was the cheapest option I found prior to this.
So I got them to price Oxygen sensors whilst I was there:
Description|MB Part No.|Bosch Part No.|Price (inc VAT)
Oxygen Sensor (Rear Left)|A 001 540 11 17|0 258 005 092|£51.36
Oxygen Sensor (Rear Right)|A 001 540 12 17|0 258 005 094|£51.36
Oxygen Sensor (Front Left)|A 001 540 08 17|0 258 005 088|£43.00
Oxygen Sensor (Front Right)|A 001 540 10 17|0 258 005 090|£46.03

Description|MB Part No.|Bosch Part No.|Price (inc VAT)
Oxygen Sensor (Rear Left)|A 000 540 71 17|0 258 006 320|£59.86
Oxygen Sensor (Rear Right)|A 000 540 73 17|0 258 006 324|£61.13
Oxygen Sensor (Front Left)|A 000 540 71 17|0 258 006 320|£59.86
Oxygen Sensor (Front Right)|A 000 540 72 17|0 258 006 326|£59.86
The reason for two sets of numbers is I'm not 100% sure which ones I need. I think it should be the first lot going by the Mercedes EPC since mine's a 2000 model year, but will be removing one of the original sensors first to double-check.

Has anyone managed to beat those prices recently? I love to grab bargain! The only place I found online that comes anywhere near these prices is an eBay seller from Latvia. And of course dealer prices are more than triple these.

I see Fleet Factors also stock Mann, Pierburg and Elring, which could be useful for the future, although I didn't get any prices for anything further yet.

Hope this is useful to someone.

Every part should be sourced by your full VIN - that's the only way.

Put your full VIN up and we'll tell you the correct part number.

Thanks. Yes I'm 99% sure (using my VIN) it's the first set, but I sometimes find with my car that because it's one of the earliest facelift models some part numbers are ambiguous or the EPC isn't always clear. For example with the crank sensor it said on the EPC "optional with..." so I had to double-check that first before ordering.
