kompressor C class
Hi Guys

Hope all is well and all set for the Easter Bank holiday?
Need some advise on me front tyres. Mines a Mercedes C Class Kompressor 180 2008 model. The dreaded Red Check Tyres symbol kept flashing so took it for a quick check to Costco tyres. Chap had a look around and said that all looks fine. Advised to change the front tyres at some point. As they are 4 years old. Is this right?
I then checked my tyre pressures and all seemed fine, except the right front one was ridiculously low at 21. Brought it up to 30 and so far the red reminder hasn't flashed.
I got a long trip coming up, just slightly anxious. Why the pressure soo low? Could there be a slow leak? Worth checking again in 24 hrs?

Secondly, any recommendations on the front tyre change and if so, how long could I wait? I do on an average chalk up 10,000 miles per year

Using my reg num, Halfords advises me to use
205/ 55/ R16 91V for the front tyres

Please find pics encl within
Thanks and Happy Easter to you all

You haven't said how many mm's of tread depth you have left on the tyres?

A cursory look and the depth looked fine. Will get an accurate measurement tomorrow

Good morning
So tried to measure, using the usual 20 p
Back tyres are fine
1) and 2) Front Right FR - the one with the v low pressure, please find pic attached 1 and 2
3 & 4 Front left - the one with the normal
Tyre pressure

Thanks 👍

Yes and yes. And keep checking until you are confident that it isn't losing pressure.
Possibly a slow puncture but equally likely is leaking at the rim - or, rarely, at the valve stem or valve itself. A cracked wheel will also leak - but establish whether you are losing air before worrying about that.

You know that there are tread wear indicators on the tyres? IIRC they’re at 1.6mm so make a judgement call from that.
