Front wings warm.....

On my W203 I've notice that after the last several journeys (hour plus) that both front wings are getting quite warm! I've not noticed this before, and opened the bonnet to check all is ok - nothing amiss, but also noticed the black cross brace (at the front) is also very warm).

Perhaps it's normal and I've just not noticed it before. Car is running fine and at 90degC.

The engine is losing about 75% of the energy input in heat, or about 3 times the movement power.
At 60mph that means about 50Kwh of heat is being dissipated into the engine bay.
