fuel efficiency for c220 coupe

I hope someone can clear up an issue
I am looking to buy a c220 amg sport plus diesel auto and it is really importnat to me to get an idea of the actual fuel efficiency of the vehicle as could be potentially doing between 20-30k miles a year
obviously mercedes are claiming amazing numbers of high fifties and other reviews are suggesting early fifties
Can anyone please help with an accurate figure

I have a c220 sport plus saloon with 2700 miles on it. The best mpg I have achieved over a full tank is 44 but on average I'm getting about 38. Most of the miles are my commute to work which is 16 miles, 11 of which are motorway.
I don't feel I drive it ridiculously fast but I don't drive with mpg in mind.

A nice drive Leeds to Cardiff with a distronic plus set at a tidge above 70 and a return of 51.6mpg after 1000 miles

picked a 220cdi 4 door advantagarde customers car up from another state drove it 780km @100kmph on highway then did a further 130km @ 60 kmph =910 before l filled it up ...

I agree with this figure, I always get over 50 on a motorway/A roads based trip, but easy to get 38 round town
