Hello, old problem, new post.
After extensive searching, I thought I had found a cure for my cars inability to fill up with Diesel quickly.
SLK250d 2015
First 8 gallons straight in, next few gallons take about 10 minutes!
Three or four sites say there is an evap charcoal filter next to the filler hole behind the wheel arch cover. It fills with dust, remove, blow out, fixed.
Sun out today, bit warmer, stripped out off side arch, no vent hoses or evap filter.
Maybe USA cars are built differently?
So I removed the nearside wheel arch cover.
Nothing?
Would anyone, hopefully an ex MB technician, be able to tell me where these cars vent?
Thanks.
