In the fuel tank! Quite a job to get to it too, lots of panels to be removed ie the panel that houses the wind deflector, the rear panel, the panels inside the boot.
Mine was accessible from under the rear prop shaft, still a right pain as the prop needed to be dropped ..... mine is an older model though ( 2003 SL 500 )
