2014/15 ML350, it says in the advert "93 Litre Fuel Tank" is that different to standard?

Cannot remember how big the tank was on my ML 350 but coincidentally my daughter has one and just happened to remark last night she had been to fill it up with V-Power diesel . She said the tank was almost empty and she had put £118 of fuel in the tank. Therefore I suspect 93 L tank is probably correct.

It varies from car to car ; my 190E , severalW123/4 had circa 65L tanks ; both my SL and W126 had 100L tanks ; there have been bigger ; The W109 6.3 had a 105L tank and the W100 a 112L tank , or if you were lucky enough to have a W07 Grosser 770K you had a 195L tank to fill , but I don’t suppose Adolf was too concerned about that .

On some mercs a large capacity fuel tank was an option. Certainly on the E class W211 and W210. Might have been an option on the ML

What is 'standard' ?

Standard across a range of cars would be one interpretation ; being a fairly big and thirsty car it needs a bigger than standard tank ; many small hatchbacks , being smaller than the average car have smaller than standard tanks .

The standard capacity is 70 litres, the 93 litre tank was an optional extra but standard on the ML63 variant.
