Gaddafis son captured

you wouldn't want to be in his shoes, his best option would be the International Criminal Court in the Hague. There could be some nervousness in Tony Blairs office

Can you imagine what will come out if the Libyans put him on trial for corruption? The LSE affair will seem insignificant in comparison. Think Al-Yamama...

I hazard a guess that he will follow the footsteps of Lee Harvey Oswald, or perhaps just 'commit suicide'... I really can't see him alive and testifying in an open court.

Said that, personally I do wish that he will get fair treatment and a fair trial - what happened to his father raised the question in many people's minds if those that replaced him are really any better than he was?

With all the gold and missing millions in his ex country I think they will keep him alive for a wee while yet.

He'll be given a "fair" trial, then removed from the court room and shot much like the Ceaușescu's.

Sounds as if he has the potential to be a bargaining counter among the various power groups/factions negotiating the future of Libya. As such he is a pretty valuable "asset" for the moment
