Puncture repairs price inc VAT

Not me bud.
I don't generally have a problem spending money on cars, but splashing the cash on tyres is just yawnsville.
Getaway, do!’t tell me that after having them fitted you don’t drive down the high street checking out you and your car’s reflection in the coffee shop and charity shop windows thinking “check me out with my new tyres😀

Taking the long way home to savour the moment and assess the performance of the tyres on a variety of road surfaces and speeds, despite the fact that they’re probably still covered in release agent by the time you get home.

Speaking of which, parking, getting out of the car and taking a few steps towards the front door, before pausing, turning, looking at those new tyres and the hint of lubricant around the bead, and smiling, before going inside.

It’s Ok. You’re amongst friends. This is a safe place.

The only saving grace is that 4 of Messrs. Goodyear's finest are 'only' 300quid for Mrs S's Leon.
On my mighty BMW F31 330i LCI M Sport Shadow Edition AMG Black Series Touring it's 2.5 times that amount. Which is why it's still riding on the hewn from granite Flintstone run flats it came with.
I mean, that sort of dosh gets you a weekend at a decent hotel with pool, spa, brekkie and 3 course Table D'Hote dinner with hot and cold running chambermaids.

My new to me E350 has a nice set of Bridgestone's on the front which I've used before with no issues on my CLK......but as it failed on the rear tyres last MOT and he new he was going to sell it, the rears have been fitted with a Chinese (?) brand I've never heard of (cant even remember the name to be honest....will post it when I get home)........they are fine in the dry and, out of interest I gave them a go on a couple of my favourite bends and got them to the point of howling with negligible movement and even in the wet they seem to have reasonable grip.....the test will come on wet days when the temp drops....then I will decide if they get replaced or not. Yes I know that the general view is that you should have the better, more grippy set on the rear.....but I have never subscribed to that view on a rear drive car......and anyway being a Sport it has staggered size AMG wheels and tyres so no swap is possible.
As a follow up to this...I looked at what rear tyres are paired with my Bridgestone fronts...... and it's everyone's favourite the Sunwide RS-One......nope...me neither! As said so far so good. Online reviews are hilarious as usual... anything from 5 star brilliance down to one star "they are lethal". I'll see what happens when winter (or what passes for winter in sub tropical West Sussex!) gets here!....but as said they are fine at the temps we have now.

Agreed, £400-500 is quite a lot, which is why I linked to MPS4S at £370 when not on offer, but also mentioned the offer as it's worth remembering Costco often seem to have Michelin, then Goodyear tyres on this sort of offer almost alternately.

If you could wait and assuming Costco MPS4S appear on offer this would bring them to something like £345, just below the £350 you might be targeting (Edit: pending wider tyre industry price increases). Conties SC7 also always available if this doesn't happen in you required window👍
And as if by magic, these MPS4S in 315/30/R22 are now on offer for £345
