Gearbox behaviour

Hi all I have recently collected my 2014 c63 estate and my last car was also a c63 estate 2014. My new car will not shift up on the paddles unless I have less than a 1/4 throttle this only happens when the gearbox setting is in C mode S and S+. I swear my last c63 would shift up through the gears speed allowing at any throttle just more sluggish than in manual or sport. i.e can you shift on C mode at full throttle at say 3500-4000 rpm ? Could just be my memory?? mercedes dealer say that paddle shift only works when you release the throttle In C mode. If someone could check on your next journey that would be great help.

It will only shift up after it reaches a certain speed and the dealer is talking rubbish about it will only change up when you release the throttle in C.

Think i can just get it in 4th at 30mph and then changes itself back down if i drop slightly below.
