Gearbox Oil for a v6 SL

Hi,
does anyone know if I need to do anything with regards to oil changes on my gearbox for my SL. The box seems to have got a bit jerky recently. My chap that serviced it seemed to think that it was a sealed unit

All post 1996 mercedes gearboxes use a specially formulated mercedes only oil.

its about 80-90 quids worth to do it + labour

make sure ALL the oil is out - esp the torque converter, and worth doing the filter as well.

If its sealed - then why can I look up the parts on the MB EPC?

worth doing imho - but you need to find an indy who will do it.

I think I need to find a proper Merc chap and quick. The stealers in the Somerset area are cr@p I might have to take a special trip down to London and go see George unless anyone has any better Ideas
