From this forum I took some advice from old posts and went to get my C250 checked out on brakes by Gem-Tech. (www.gem-tech.co.uk)
I have to admit, and I'm difficult to please that, from the moment John responded to my emails promptly and I had a chat with him on the phone to getting the work done, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Got fed up of Mercedes main stealer and after I found that they had left me having paid for a very expensive car wash and oil change, I am going to be using Gem-Tech going forward.
Very happy with the explanation & demo's and willingness to answer a bunch of questions on brakes and that they offered me a discount for being transferred from the forum. John also mentioned that with just a short amount of notice (1-2 weeks, compared to Merc approx. 2 months) they could offer a courtesy car too!
Just one point, they are not huge and don't have dedicated receptionists so, if you call and they don't answer persevere, try email or call back later. You won't be disappointed. They respond quickly to email which is quite rare these days IMO.
I highly recommend them and thought I should mention this for those around the Romford area.
