Thought I'd add a quick post about my positive experience of dealing with Richard (aka MBTechnician) at Gem-Tech recently.
You might have read about my recent problems with my C36 (see here http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/wheels-tyres/70416-c36-rear-brakes-plot-thickens.html) and finding someone reliable to sort it all out for me.
Well, I took it down to Richard and he diagnosed the problems, gave me a good quote (with labour at less than half the price of the main dealer
) we agreed what work needed doing straight away and what could wait. I left the car with him for a couple of days so he could make sure everything was a-okay then collected it from him yesterday.
He replaced two ignition coils, plugs, end caps, new rear brake caliper and both rear discs / pads as agreed. The best thing though was that he fixed a maddening squeak from behind the dashboard that I had been told was a 'steering rack out' issue by another 'specialist' but was actually much simpler and is now beautifully silent. It's nice when someone hears a problem themselves and is determined to fix it for you rather than coming up with excuses why it can't be done and the car is now a whole heap better for it

The car now drives better than when I bought it and Richard will be getting all my business from now on, top marks :bannana:
