GL Rear DVD player

Hello,

Would somebody be able to tell me about this rear "kids entertainment" system for GL X164. It has a DVD player under rear seat and single screen just above rear vents. It seem not to be connected Command unit and the only way it can get sound is through headphones. Just to say I got 3 kids, and the youngest one (20 months old) cannot really ware them

We have screens in the back of one of our cars. Our youngest was not really bothered about the audio at that stage - quite happy just watching the video.

She started wearing the headphones at about 3.

Comand has an Aux in connection I think, so it may be possible to hook the audio up to that?

well, the idea was that I can control from the front of the car what they watch on rear screen.

That, I hope, should be possible, as I have seen many other custom installations of car systems. What I do not understand, what is this system capable of and shall I just rip it out and put carPC and find some custom wiring for the front and back.

Does anybody know of such interface, I know that something exists already ( Kustom PCs Car2PC for Mercedes Benz ), however, I just need a bit of advice if similar can be achieved with iPod, so I do not have to mess about with carPC....
