i had all my windows and lights etched with the vin number today,£20 i dont know if thats a fair price but its done

Window etching used to be commonplace (you often got a free voucher with insurance), but seems to have pretty much died out now.

Maybe because most cars have a visible VIN in the windscreen anyway?

it was two chaps with the compressor and engraver in the back of audi knocking on doors,he used to do car parks,and motabilaty dealers but they dont have it done anymore

i had my volvo850 done with an insurace voucher,im a popular common person with a private plate thats why i had the vin.instead of reg.
