GLC 2016 Noise 30Mph

Hi All,

2016 GLC 250 30K miles. Making a whirring noise around 30Mph both accelerating and de- acceleration between 4th and 5th gear. I can hold the sound if I keep the accelerator held when the noise comes on.

My humble opinion something to do with gearbox. Logic, the noise comes on 30Mph between 4th and 5th gear. Accelerate circa 30Mph and it comes on. Changes to 5th gear and soon goes off. Slow down heading to 30 and comes back on which suggests the cars getting ready for 4th gear.

Still under used warranty and service plan. Warranty runs out in a couple of weeks. FYI 1 month ago the gearbox was serviced (5 year oil change) at MBMD.

Anybody seen this before? I did read an article about driveshaft bearings making a noise a similar noise. Appreciate any opinions.

Can't help with the technical issue but send your dealer an email describing the problem asap if your warranty runs out in a couple of weeks. then you will have documented evidence submitted under warranty so they cannot wriggle out of any warranty claim

Thanks, yes thats me the intention. Just wanted to share and be armed with info before I book in.
