Gold R107 with GoPro

Driving from Ambleside to Windermere the other day, we passed a gold R107 on the A591 with a GoPro camera fixed to the bonnet pointing back into the driver's seat.

Obviously not filming for a mainstream programme which would have a proper camera crew, but I was just interested if anyone knew anything about it or had any ideas what it might be for.

I would add that I'm surprised that's legal too, but maybe it is.

Probably just someone making a video of them driving the car??? I did the alps with a GoPro stuck on my car last summer!

Why wouldnt it be legal - as long as its safely attached its all good.

Yes, for some of it although it was facing forward just behind where the bonnet mascot would be.

If you buy a genuine GoPro suction cup mount you can attach it anywhere on clean bodywork and it will stick like glue. GoPro say they are tested up to 150mph and have been used on light aircraft wings. Mine never came off on my trip but I did attach a little wire to it just in case!
