After 4 yrs of hard pressed service in my hands I've decided to part company with the E. At 176k miles it's starting to feel old (rattles and squeeks) and the the finance / value balance means it owed me nothing.

Considered a few options but have decided to get something smaller - so there's a 57 plate W204 in my near future (thursday)...

It is only just getting into its stride at 176k. Not sure why the rattles and squeaks though; are you sure those are not in your mind :)

More detail.

Obsidian (tick)
Sport (hmm - still not sure about that grill)
17" alloys with the wrong number of spokes (6 twins)
33k miles
Just serviced (2000 miles ago) and new tyres all round

And got them to up the warranty to 3 yr unlimited miles.

Main dealer car so next 2 services included, finance and trade in values made to fit.

Return to invoice GAP for £295 - ticked the box but have right to cancel, not sure about that yet.

Oh didn't I mention the full details?

It's an 07, not a 57 (my mistake).

And it's a C320CDI.

I'm guessing if it's Sport with 17" alloys, then it's either 250 or 350 CDI.

Edit: oooops, I was wrong ;) 320. Still good choice.

all the w204's have 17" on the sport. the new w204 has 18" on the sport as standard :)

Nice choice dude :) congrats:D

remap those and they are like rocket ships for a deisel

Great choice of car, fast and economical.

Don't forget to post some pics. :thumb:

Best engine (excluding AMG) :thumb:

What's on it? Leather? Comand? Heated Seats? Toilet roll holder?

Come on give full spec.

awesome car choice man, the 211 give you a lot of good miles at 176k...

The highlights for me are leather, heated seats, advanced agility package.

Was properly impressed with the ride, in standard mode it's smoother and slightly softer than the non-sport version. In sport it's rock hard.

I drove a loaded C320cdi.

Tim, having met you, I know you'll love it.

The performance is at another level to an E270cdi, and it will comfortably cruise at 155mph (I know this is of use to you) and lets just say it can wag its tail nicely and remain nicely poised.

The big improvement over the 211 is the steering feedback and precision. Its laugh out loud fun to drive.

Enjoy the car mate

Thanks Steve.

Hey - how do you engage Dyno mode on a 204...

Getting another 3 year unlimited warranty is a massive deal - well done:thumb:

Sounds great, Tim.
We'll look forward to seeing it.
