- Mine: BMW X4 2.0d M-Sport (Red) Hers: BMW X1 2.0d M-Sport (Black) Sorry about that...
I've had my SLK for a while now. With one thing and another, it has spent the last 3 years in my garage, so although it's a V reg, it's only done 33K miles.
On wednesday, I get to say "goodbye" to it.
The new owner is having it taken by low-loader to a local garage, for a full lubrication, before the key is turned.
No doubt a new battery is needed, hopefully nothing has deteriorated besides that.
I saw it on a garage forecourt one day when I was taking my daughter to school, and had bought it by the end of the week. It's been a joy to drive for years and I'll really miss it.
The new owner is absolutely delighted. She has wanted one for as long as she can remember.
She approached me 3 years ago, wanting mine. Now she's got it.
Her identity..... it's the very same daughter. The car isn't a birthday present..... it's not a wedding present..... It's a divorce present!
Yes, I shall miss the SLK - but I won't miss the SIL!
