GPS antenna

Hi folks,
A new member here. I’m hoping someone can give me some feedback regarding a GPS issue .
I have just purchased a Becker Map Pilot. When I install it into the glove compartment port, the unit appears to be working ok apart from the fact that I have no GPS signal. I have tried driving to various locations but to no avail.
The van is a 2020 Vito 119cdi
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a port to plug one in?
Or like a mobile phone, is it integral?

Either way it will need to see the sky to lock onto satellites.
These antennas can see through glass, and some other materials, But reception can be v limited by objects.
