GPS is OFF

Hi

I have recently purchased a Merc E220 (66 plate). The car didn't come with the SatNav SD card, which I have not purchased.

When starting the SatNav, if is finding 9 satellites. It is telling me what speed I am doing. But the map never does anything. Eventually see a message saying that the GPS is OFF. How do I turn it on? Or is it a broken GPS sensor that needs replacing? Is it a main dealer trip to get this sorted.

I presume you meant to say ‘now’ not ‘not’ hence the confusion.

I would either visit, or contact Comandonline in Lightwater just off J4 of the M3 who can sort your problem quickly.

kianok, the SD card was purchased from satnavupgrade.com. First one i purchased wasn't recognised at all, they checked and sent the correct one. The SD has Merc logo on it, and is germain with Pilot Maps 2019. I think this is correct as map does appear, satellites are found, just nothing happening.

The prices being charged by satnavupgrade.com indicate those are copied sd cards and not genuine.
I could easily be wrong, but a site offering £399 upgrades for £29 99 doesn't appear genuine to me.

If the card is labelled germain, that might be the problem...
