Has anyone heard of Mercland?

Jay's had a fair few petrols over time.

The issue here is the wall of Derv. Gordon Brown said "Save the planet and buy economical Diesel, aye..." And so Britain did....

I spent an age looking for 3 litre petrol engined, but non AMG, S204's "back in the day." They weren't to be found.

Methinks Jay's stocking Derv because they're better value than 1.8 petrol C class from that period

I bought my last car from Mercland .... the E280 cdi Sports Estate.
Excellent service.
Recommended.

And maybe all the petrol ones have sold! ;)
Plenty of 1.8 petrols on AT nationally
Almost as many as Derv

But, if you’re outside of the Metrollops, perhaps diesel seems the better value (and spec) for the money.

I wonder if the 1.8 petrol (is it the 271 engine?) gives too many problems from a warranty perspective too - just a thought.

Thank you gentlemen for your help, I have decided that I will buy my next car from them, I have already found some interesting offers on their website, I just have one more question, can anyone share with me information about the fuel consumption of the C220/250/350? I am mainly interested in urban and extra urbanconsumption

If you click on the car you're interested in, scroll down and there is the performance tab that will give the mpg info

Do you guys think I can trust them enough to buy a car from them online without a preliminary inspection and have it delivered to my home?
I mean why would you NOT take half a day to go and check it out before buying it?
But if that's the way you like to buy cars then yes it is one of only two places (olly at PCS being the other) that I would consider buying a car sight unseen. I would not even consider a main dealer without viewing the car.

By the way, if you extend your search to earlier 204s from 2008/9 then the 220cdi will be the old om646 engine which is completely reliable compared with the later om651 which is a bit hit and miss.

I know it is there, but I would like to know the results of the cars in reality

Your reality will be completely different than my reality, because we drive different routes, at different times, with different driving styles, etc.

Whilst the published MPG figures are highly unlikely to match what your actual fuel consumption will be, it does allow fair comparison between models.

Compare the published MPG figures for the cars you’re considering with each other and with your current car, and then adjust accordingly to estimate your use of those cars.

Yes. Ive bought many a car from dealers, unseen.

You are protected under the consumer rights laws that if when it arrives, and you havnt seen it previously, and you are not happy with it, you get a full refund when the car is returned. If you are really worried though just pay for an RAC inspection prior to purchase.
