Hi People,

Notice recently that my Windscreen Washer and Coolant light were staying on so did the obvois and checked previous theads for similar symptoms. But no good tried all and failed, lights are still on. But also noticed that there was a lot of pressure building around the sensor forcing gunky fluids to come out arround it. Got a bit worried so took it to the MB Dealers to have a look, at first glance he said that the Head Gasket could be on its way causing the pressure build up but cant say for sure untill he has a propper look, so I have now booked it in for Monday. Here are some pics to help describe whats going on, has anyone had the same problem? and if so how did you solve it?

It's a Facelift 1997 C180 Sport without Aircon

If you had lost water and the coolant light was on and you could see a gunky fluid build up inside the filler cap I could see it being the head.

But there is no reason why your washer light would be on.

What year is your car. I sold my C180 and the radiator blew on the guy who bough it from me. I have also heard of this happening to someone else. It may have been posted on here.

The sensors are interconnected.

Check both sensors with a meter. I suspect the washer bottle sensor is duff.
