Hi folks have a rattle from passenger headrest I think lol it' noisy over uneven roads and bumps actually very annoying lol and suggestions how to stop it many thanks in advance.oh it a 2008 C180.

My c220 had a damaged headrest sleeve, on my car the back of the seat is hard plastic,a sharp tug on the bottom corner of each side of the plastic trim removes it,then with the ignition off unclip the yellow connection from the headrest to the airbag system remove the headrest and break the plastic sleeves away from the seat, new sleeves can be bought from mercedes for £4 each, they are a interference fit and you just line them up and knock them into the seat for a good movement free (quiet) fit, refit headrest and plug in to a/bag socket, refit back, takes 15 minutes! Could solve your problem for £8

I have the same issue on my 2007 CLS.

Common complaint with all cars that use these seats and have electric adjustment, rattle with no passenger, shuts up when someone sits on it.

I cured mine by removing the seat back, two screws at the bottom from memory, and then used a bit of wire around the two plastic tubes to pull them together slightly. Just have to remember to tell passengers not to mess with the headrest control as it'll probably burn the motor out.

Interesting if @Martygt550's fix will work for these seats.

Thanks for the advice, it's been doing my head in! I'll give it a go at the weekend!
