Hi all, the new guy is after some help.

I own a 2005 C220 estate, which up to this point in time has been a good car however I think the gremlins have moved in to my heater.
I only have the standard 4 dial (two temp, 1 fan speed and one direction dial) climate control but seem to have a temperature issue. If I set the temp to the lowest point (19oC), I get what I would call outside air. As soon as I increase the temp by one little notch I get summer in the Sahara. There doesn’t seem to be any control, its either cold or red hot. I’ve read some posts and have confirmed operation of the return temp fan, which monitors the cabin temperature but can’t seem to find the heater valves, which people talk about. Can anybody point me in the right direction as I’ve checked under the wiper motors but no luck. Anybody know where they might be? Of course If I’m going down the wrong lines then please let the newbie know. Many thanks all.

Firstly you need it plugged into a Star and have the flaps all reset and check the fault codes.

With experience I would say that the issue lies with the control panel itself.

I've had it on my mates Star machine but no faults were indicated. Would i need to reset the flaps before the fault code would show?

Yes, sometime this is the case.

Has anybody got any more ideas as I had the car on a mates star machine and had a full vent / flap reset. No joy still like summer in the Sahara.
