Heaters

How about the dot after the zero should it work on that or not

Only if you push in the residual button… Red light comes on… this button will cause the fan to blow air into the cabin for about 20? Minutes when the keys are removed from the ignition… keeps the car warm if you leave your granny inside the car while you go to the shop.

The residual button is called the REST button, the one with the car symbol on it.

EC is the economy button, when it has a Red light illuminated then the air con is OFF.
When the air con is ON then the Red light on the EC button is OFF… confusing isn’t it.

It is very likely that the blower regulator is faulty. It sits under the blower. Cheap from Euro Car Parts.

Driving my car this morning noticed warm air coming from the vents but had no heaters on any ideas on what it could be

If I put the heating in they work so I suppose the blower motor working

With the car stationary and up to normal working temperature you should feel hot air blowing out of the heating vents when the heater fan is turned up to 5 on the heater control dial. Ensure the air vent thumb wheel is open on each vent.
You should hear the fan motor noise become louder as you turn the fan up to a higher speed.

If the heater fan is not working then you wont feel warm air through the air vents unless the car is moving at high speed.

If I put the heating up from 1-5 the noise does get higher, but had the car for about 5 years never has heat coming through vents with heaters off when driving

There is outside air intake vent, it is located on the passenger side above the blower motor fan and can be seen, from outside the car, in the video below between 2:55 and 3:18
This vent closes when the heater dial is set on 0 (OFF) or if the ignition is OFF, if you were getting hot or cold air coming into the car while the heater dial is set on 0 then this outside air intake vent must not be closing when it is set to 0.

Any pictures of what it looks like and where it is please and I take it that needs replacing

It might not need replacing, it is located above the heater fan in video(between 2:55 and 3:18), you would need to test it to see if it closes when the heater dial is set to 0.
To test it properly you would need to remove the outside windscreen trim so as to see this flap in action, to see if it opens and closes when the heater dial is turned to 0... ignition needs to be ON.

No pictures except of the area in question as mentioned in the video above.
Based on what you have said, that air was coming into the cabin when the heater is turned OFF to 0 then the only explanation for this is that this particular flap is stuck open.

I cannot see a video so bit confussed of what it look like and where it is

I could be wronge but I cannot see how to fix the problem of the cold or got air coming through vents when on 0 and vents closed, I did al the other things which shown in video to unblock it

You need to confirm if this flap is indeed not closing properly when the heater dial is set to 0.
To do that you need to remove the trim bits at the outside bottom of the windscreen so you can see the motor fan as seen in the video above between 2:55 and 3:18.

When you remove the windscreen trim and can see the motor fan, get someone to turn on the ignition and then the heater dial from 1 to 0 and back to 1, if the heater flap is working properly you will see it open and close as your assistant moves the dial between 0 and 1.

If the ignition is ON and the engine is not running, you can hear the heater flap open and close when you move the heating dial from 1 to 0, this however isn’t as good as seeing the flap open and close as described above.

Is the car heating and cooling working ok? Are you getting cold air if you turn the heater thumb wheels to Blue?

If move the heating thump in middle the driver side gives the right heat as where ever I put the roller but the passenger side done that was happning before I had all these problems

Not sure what you mean, could you explain, in detail, what exactly the problem is?

The air is coming through the vents but I do not have the heaters on when I start to drive the air is coming in when the heaters are on zero.

In that video I canot see where it states how to fix that problem and why it's hapning either I am not understanding what the bloke is saying in the video or just blind and cannot see where it is
