Drove the demo which had the stock exhaust and that was addictive so i added the optional performance exhaust to get the louder upshifts and crackle and pops

Lol, just a waiting game now which is going to feel like a lifetime but u were patient enough up to now so I'm sure you'll be fine,

On another note how much is your insurance if you don't mind me asking?

Yh that's actually quite gd considering the value of the car and you're age and engine, at least you don't have to worry about repair cost due to warranty

Hello Everyone,

Just joined and not used to the screens or software so I could not find the text box to post my introduction - might be my French computer.......

Anywho, I own a 2007 CLS 320 cdi and share an SLK 200 Kompressor as a second car with my wife - they are both great cars and fantastic for entirely different reasons and uses. We live in the South West of France and spend our time driving around the foothills of the Pyrenees trying to avoid the French drivers who seem to prefer our side of the road when they see us coming. We also own a couple of large motorbikes which we use for some long distance tours when the weather permits.
I don't really understand why the CLS is so under rated as a drivers car I love it and the brilliant diesel delivers endless power. The SLK may be old (2003) but she has only done 31K miles and is still as tight as a new car that has been properly run in old school.

I hope to enjoy reading your stories on these pages and perhaps getting a little help in finding access to the almost impossible to find exploded parts diagrams that are essential when trying to find parts for British market cars in France?
