E220 CDI SE Auto
Hi All

Just found a great forum to talk all things Mercedes. Fantastic.

I've just bought an E220 CDI (late 2013) and was wondering what to expect when I pick it up next week.

Last car was a Mazda that served me well but I decided to treat myself.

So here are a few questions and I'd love some help and advice from you great people....
How many keys are there with that model?
What books should I receive (instructions etc)
Are there any codes for radios I need
Does the Sat Nav system need a disk
I've also read here about COMAND. Whats that?

Any advice is most welcome please...

Hi Thermal, welcome to the forum!
I am a newbie myself to the forum and to Merc as I also like you treated myself with a Merc C180 (2012) just last week upgrading from a Honda Civic (quite a jump I know). It's been a pleasure driving my Merc and I will try to answer your questions to the best of my limited knowledge..

How many keys are there with that model? I got 2 keys with my C Class and I think that is standard?

What books should I receive (instructions etc) - I got a full C class Manual and a COMAND online manual packed in a Mercedes Benz leather holder

Are there any codes for radios I need - I don't know about this, my Radio is working perfectly fine catching all local BBC etc. channels

Does the Sat Nav system need a disk - Umm don't think so but again I am not too sure. What do you mean disk?

I've also read here about COMAND. Whats that? COMAND as I understand is Merc Benz infotainment which includes playing music, radio, setting clock, GPS Navigation, Bluetooth phone etc.

Hope this helps and I am sure some expert would shed some more light on your questions..

Thanks dad4geer for the answers. I was just wondering about map updates, how it works, do I need an account or is it updated at service?

do I need an account or is it updated at service?

I think within the first three years of ownership , from new , the updates are free with the servicing.
