HELP car wont lock!!!

please help my 2001 s500l wont lock from the fob or the button on the dash and the boot will not open from fob or button either would be nice if I could fix this tonight to stop any thieving scroat from getting in as im working away from home this is a bit of issue

Hi

Have you replaced fob batttery? Can you hear the central locking vacuum pump, you should be able to manually lock the door with fob key?

no cant here pump but just noticed self closing not working either and would fob battery stop internal buttons from working and pressing fob still flashes lights

The comfort feature compressor has stopped working. (PSE unit)

Try pulling the fuse for a minute.

Push the internal buttons down on 3 doors and use the metal blade to lock the boot and drivers door.

The fuse pull does reset the over run timeout on the soft close system but not sure it'll get your pump going again if it won't lock.

silly question which fuse board would i find fuse as i don't have a fuse layout fuse number would also be nice

It's one under the rear seat. 20A I think.

I would guess under the back seat.

thanks for all your help yesterday evening locked car as said and looks like pse unit is duff fuse blown and replaced fuse doors tried to unlock and fuse went again where will I find the pse unit hiding and could I use the one from my 98 e430 estate to replace it

thanks for all your help in this matter this forum was spot on again took pse apart tiny black rubber in motor had moved rebuilt and worked like a charm again
