help- cruise control, asr and bas

I have an R reg E200 and I have noticed that BAS/ASR light has come on and the cruise control is no longer working. Are the 2 issues related and does anyone know of where apart of the main dealers who can deal with the problem? Many thanks

They are probably related.

Most likely culprit is the brake light switch. Just located the brake pedal, approx 5-10 mins to fit. And its not expensive to buy

Brake light switch. Get one from euro car parts and fit it yourself. It is very easy.

Once I change the brake light switch, do I need to do any resetting?

Its a good idea to have the fault memory erased but not essential.
