Help with Audio 20 & Smart phone

My local MB dealer has told me my smartphone isn't compatable to enable me to use Bluetooth internet on my audio20
Has anyone else come across this?
Not sure what is required as the phone allows bluetooth & USB tethering

That doesn't sound right. I have an S7 android 8. but the Bluetooth version is 4, which I presume yours is. In any case most Bluetooth versions are backward compatible.... Just had a google on moto x Bluetooth problems, seem to be a lot.

Hi! Sorry for the delay in responding. I think we are getting somewhere now, I've used my wife's old Samsung with android 4.1.2 & its connected! Now its saying the page requested is too big to display; is this the phone? My moto wont connect to my ipad as a mobile hotspot either so the moto X is def buggered.

To be honest Bluetooth internet is useable,,, but only just, and I suspect the page request problem is because of this, as its slow and clunky. Mobile hotspot, is a different function to Bluetooth hotspot, and is a separate menu on Samsung. But no idea on the moto menu.
